WINTERS BANE Guitarist Says Some Of His Statements Were Taken Out Of Context
November 23, 2005WINTERS BANE guitarist Paul Kolasky, better known to the group's fans as Lou St. Paul, has sent the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET regarding the article that was published in The University of Akron's student-run newspaper The Buchtelite about WINTERS BANE and Lou St. Paul:
"I would just like to clarify a few points from the Buchtelite article. Some of my statements where either taken out of context or had key points omitted. To correct this I have contacted the writer of the original piece so that anything I might say in my defense won't be misconstrued as an apology, but rather as an expanation as to why the facts have been distorted." A statement from the article's original author, Krysti Henderson (a Communication graduate student),follows:
"The story that was printed by The University of Akron's student-run newspaper, The Buchtelite, about WINTERS BANE and Lou St. Paul was not what was submitted for publication. The articles that run in The Buchtelite are heavily edited by the paper's not-professional — or even Print News/Journalism major — student editors. The article that was sent to the news editor was meant to uncover a University of Akron face (PC Repair Specialist at UA) and to promote Lou St. Paul and WINTERS BANE's new album, 'Redivivus', and the new WINTERS BANE website — and that wasn't even printed in the published version of the article along with many other cuts that were made. As a writer, I am doing all in my power to make this right in the eyes of Buchtelite readers, WINTERS BANE fans, and the metal world. Steps will be taken to make these corrections."
